Mercaz Tally is open.

We opened on Tally's Hebrew birthday, 5 Elul. It seemed the right day to say out loud that the center named for her exists.

Mercaz Tally is a registered Israeli amutah in Ramat Bet Shemesh. We run small, voluntary groups for people carrying trauma, grief, and the kind of stress that does not switch off. The clinical groups are led by licensed therapists, and creative and wellness workshops led by trained facilitators. We take particular care with English-speaking olim.

About money

I cannot open the doors without this.

People are already writing to ask when the workshops start, and I have not properly launched the site. That is the part I did not expect. It is also why I am asking now instead of waiting. Mercaz Tally will be a real place, not a website. We will start small and build up. But we need rooms, licensed therapists, materials and insurance, and I have no budget for any of it.

The amutah's bank account is not open yet, about two more weeks. Until it is, there is nowhere a donation could go that we would be willing to send it, not a personal account, not a holding arrangement in someone's name. We currently have no way to issue tax receipts either. The Section 46 application will only be submitted in January 2027, and the approval process takes time. Once approval is granted, we will be able to issue receipts. So I am asking for a promise instead. Tell us what you intend to give and we will come back to you the day the account opens. Nothing is taken now, and a promise is not a contract. If your circumstances change, so does your answer.

One person holds this list. It is never sold, never shared outside Mercaz Tally, and it is deleted once everyone on it has been told. You can ask us at any time to take you off it: contact@mercaztally.org.
